Excursion to Pirita

The autumn started here in Tallinn long ago. But in honour of its beginning, an impression of the most central park.



I liked it a lot to stand inside the ruins of the old monastery in Pirita. As an architect, I would erect such a building for cultural venues. The feeling is monumental.


Pirita, the seaside resort of Tallinn, provides a marvellous view to the inner-city. On the left one can see the hotel and bank towers which are followed to the right by the churches of the medieval old town.


To some people, an untouched seashore is just boring, presumably...
